7/19 Peace Camp: Caring For Each Other (Mutual Aid!)
In collaboration with Dr. Jen Lacy from PH Community School we are excited to offer three interactive teach-ins leading up to our second Peace Parade!*
Teach-in #3: The Right to be You!
Saturday, July 19th from 9:30-11:00am
Location: PH Coffee (2200 Lexington Ave, Kansas City, MO 64124)
Ages: 8-12.
Participants will learn the concepts of mutual aid and solidarity and how we can care for each other by sharing our unique skills and resources. Children will explore different ways they can engage in mutual aid and work together on a community project.
Notes: Parents need to stay at the location, but parents can drop child(ren) off in the adjacent social gallery and enjoy coffee/brunch on the coffee shop side.Parents of younger children can participate with them. PH Coffee does have a play area for young children (ages 2 and up).
