what is Moms*Rage?

Born in spring 2023 as a dance party fundraiser for Moms Demand Action, we are a community collective who dream up and organize creative events: DANCE PARTY fundraisers, parades & teach-ins, clubs & social gatherings (book clubs! plants swaps! family hikes!)

Created by caregivers (but not just for parents), we organize for celebration, connection, coalition building, and collective action. Our work together is rooted in principles of anti-racism and collective liberation. Our Community Agreement is: everyone brings a contribution.

Our events are DIY and created in collaboration with our member collective! Through membership we are cultivating friendship network across the metro. The world is hard and we need villages to survive. There is so much power in GATHERING to share our RAGE and  JOY!

Memberships are open to women, trans, and non-binary folks in the Kansas City region. We do host family and co-ed groups that welcome menfolk!
