what is Moms Rage?

moms rage IS A SMALL GROUP OF KANSAS CITY WOMEN WHO dream up and organize CREATIVE community events (dance parties, PARADES, gatherings & fundraisers) for causes that we care about.

(Current focus areas: gun control/federal assault weapons ban, abortion access & reproductive justice, a free P@lestine.

MOMS RAGE CREATES gatherings for women and non-binary folks (i.e. no dudes) in our community to experience JOY, community and empowerment in spaces that are welcoming, safe and inclusive.

events include opportunities for direct action and connecting with local and regional organizations Doing the work.

We organize these events out of a deep knowing that there is power in GATHERING TOGETHERā€”TO RELEASE OUR RAGE AND SHARE OUR JOY.

(TLDR: we are a group of Moms who wanted to create intentional spaces to be in community with other women going through it. Dancing helps.)

*VOLUNTEERs!

Moms Rage is entirely volunteer based & not for profit*.

Everything we do ourselves, you can volunteer for: event planning, admin stuff, outreach, making lists, crafting, supply runs, decorating, event set-up, drink/food stations, carrying things from cars to venues, clean-up, etc. You also get to create alongside incredible people and make lasting community connections.

*We are working towards our 501c3 status to continue to ethically fundraise for the organizations we support!

MOMS RAGE MANIFESTO.

Moms Rage exists:

  • To host creative gatherings with intention: for joy, community, solidarity, and empowerment.

  • To create sacred spaces to be together and connect: welcomed, present, & fully embodied.

  • To organize opportunities for giving, awareness, and actions in support of liberatory causes in our city and nation.

  • To practice radical hope and collective imagination to realize a better world.

  • To be reminded of the power of community organizing, coalition building, and collective action.

  • To be aware of our own power when we pay attention to what sparks our rage and joy.

  • To know in times of despair/loneliness/grief at the state of our world--we are never alone.

Moms Rage Community Agreement: everyone brings a contribution.
