6/28 Peace Camp: Promoting Peace through Art Activism

In collaboration with Dr. Jen Lacy from PH Community School we are excited to offer three interactive teach-ins leading up to our second Peace Parade!*

Teach-in #1: Promoting Peace through Art Activism

Saturday, June 28th from 9:30-11:00am

Location: PH Coffee (2200 Lexington Ave, Kansas City, MO 64124)

Ages: 8-12.

Participants will learn history of art activism and the important roles children have played in peace movements. After reflecting on the concept of peace, children will create zines that will be shared at the Children's Peace Parade and posters to carry during the parade. 

Notes: Parents need to stay at the location, but parents can drop child(ren) off in the adjacent social gallery and enjoy coffee/brunch on the coffee shop side.Parents of younger children can participate with them. PH Coffee does have a play area for young children (ages 2 and up).

*Save the Parade Date: July 27th at 10am! More details to come!
