Peace Parade & Picnic!
The Children's Peace Parade is an opportunity to envision a shared future with our children that is rooted in community-building, mutuality, joy, and justice.
On Sunday, July 27th at 10am, we will gather on the lawn west of the Loose Park shelter (5100 Wornall, 64112) for a community picnic!
From 10:00-11:30, kids & families can visit activity stations under the shelter (collaborative art! zines! music! face painting!) and connect with local organizers* and families! Peace Camp kids will share their posters and report on their mutual aid project!
At 11:30am we’ll head out for a parade around the park with the Sass-a-Brass band!!! (Bring an instrument, if you’d like!) We can’t wait to picnic, play, and parade with you!
Please choose the $$ option that works best for your family. The event is FREE, but does cost us to create. We appreciate any contributions towards offsetting our event costs! We are not for profit and community organized—all donations will go towards activity materials & compensating the Sass-a-Brass band musicians!
