The Children's Peace Parade is an opportunity to envision a shared future with our children that is rooted in community-building, mutuality, joy, and justice.
On Sunday, July 27th at 10am, we will gather on the lawn west of the Loose Park shelter (5100 Wornall, 64112) for a community picnic!
From 10:00-11:30, kids & families can visit activity stations under the shelter (face painting! art! music!) and connect with local organizers and families! Peace Camp kids will share their zines, art, and report on their mutual aid project!
At 11:30am we’ll head out for a parade around the park with the Sass-a-Brass band!!! (Bring an instrument, if you’d like!) We can’t wait to picnic, play, and parade with you!
Suggested donation of $5 per person to offset our event costs! We are not for profit—all donations will go towards activity materials & compensating musicians.
Confirmed participating organizations: Sunrise Movement KC, TransJoy KC, Al-Hadaf (more to be announced!)
